According to Darley et al. (1975), during articulated speech we, activate around 100 muscles per each sound that is produced. These muscles provoke the action of other 100 motoneurons per each muscle that is activated. In a rate of 14 sounds per second, 140 000 motoneurons may be activated during our speech. / En el lenguaje articulado se activan alrededor de 140.000 motoneuronas por segundo por cada sonido que producimos al hablar.
